In a new essay published on New York Mag's blog, Alec Baldwin attempts to explain that he never wanted to work with MSNBC, which hired the actor to host a talk-show, only to fire him shortly after for terrible ratings and unleashing a homophobic rant. He goes on to insult another MSNBC host, Rachel Maddow, calling her "a phony who doesn.t have the same passion for the truth off-camera that she seems to have on the air."
