Rihanna recording concept album for DreamWorks Animation movie Home
Rihanna is to create a concept album based around the upcoming DreamWorks Animation movie Home.
The singer will perform a number of new songs in the film, while she will also voice a character.
DreamWorks chief Jeffrey Katzenberg announced the project during the company's fourth quarter and full 2013 year review on Tuesday (February 25).
There are currently few details about the album, but it is expected to be released in time for the movie's launch on November 26.
Home is based on Adam Rex's book The True Meaning of Smekday, which is centred around a friendly alien race who invade Earth in order to hide from their enemies.
When an alien accidentally lets their hunters know where they are, he runs away with a teenage girl, and the pair find themselves on a road trip across a post-apocalyptic Us.
