Hey Ladies: 'Magic Mike 2' Is Totally Happening and It's Called 'Magic Mike Xxl'
Steven Soderbergh’s film Magic Mike, about sensitive beefcake dancer Mike Lane and based on the real-life exploits of former male revue fleshpot-turned-actor Channing Tatum, became a sensation in 2012. The film grossed $167 million worldwide and launched its lead into stardom. Since then, the stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold story has been bandied about with regards to a sequel and a Broadway musical. Collider brings word that part two of Tatum’s tale (he’s been writing the script this go-round) is moving forward and will possibly head before the cameras later this year.
