Lorde Meets Her 'Royals' Muse
Lorde finally got to meet the inspiration behind her hit song “Royals.” And who knew it was a former baseball player? The N.Y. Post reports this morning that Lorde got to meet Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame third baseman George Brett – probably most famous for the “Pine Tar Incident” against the New York Yankees, when umpires disallowed his home run back in July 1983 for using a tampered bat — the acknowledged muse behind the smash hit.
