Lauren Faust, best known for rebooting the popular My Little Pony franchise, has been hired by Sony Pictures Animation to helm their all new animated film, Medusa. The movie will be a new take on the classic Greek Mythology that will be more accessible for a younger audience (i.e. all the damnation and abuse from the Gods will probably be left out). Honestly, I'm kind of interested in this new adaptation. Greek Mythology has always been interesting to me, and Hollywood is making bigger efforts to bring some of those stories to the big screen. A new version of Medusa could be a lot of fun, especially with this director behind it:
