The singer, 26, who has dropped new music every two years since she released her self-titled debut album 10 years ago, was true to tradition when she debuted her new song “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” with Zayn Malik on Thursday evening.
The single, which will be featured on the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, was written by Swift, Jack Antonoff (who also produced the track) and Sam Dew specifically for the film.
