‘Idol’ runner-up Alejandro Aranda (aka Scarypoolparty) has dropped a new single, ‘Tonight’ [Watch Video]
For a quiet and humble soul, “American Idol” Season 17 runner-up Alejandro Aranda is making a big splash this week. He announced on his Instagram account that, in addition to his sold-out seven-date summer tour that starts on July 8, he will also do a 28-date lineup of concerts in October and November.
Aranda, 25, has also signed with Hollywood Records and has been recording an album. And one of Pomona, Calif., favorite sons just released a new single, “Tonight,” an alt-rock love ballad that he performed on the “Idol” finale. It was co-written by his mentor, Twin Shadow, who made an appearance on the reality competition show as well. Aranda performed a total of seven original songs on the show, more than any other contestant previously. The other titles: “Out Loud,” “Cholo Love,” “10 Years,” “Poison,” “Blesser” and “Millennial Love.” “Tonight” is available to stream and download.
