Warning: Spoilers for Trigun Stampede, Episode 10Trigun Stampede is finally offering an origin for its take on the assassins known as the Gung Ho Guns, and it's a wildly different take that's as logical as it is insidious.

The Gung Ho Guns, as they're called in the previous anime and manga, are the assassins who work for Knives and hunt Vash with the intent of making his life miserable. The group doesn't just include one-offs like E.G. the Mine and Trigun's incredibly tragic Monev the Gale, but also major characters like Wolfwood. Both Monev and Wolfwood were shown to have been experimented upon by Conrad to obtain their present-day forms, but they weren't the only ones. In fact, Conrad has been working with Trigun's Knives for a long time now, experimenting on people in hopes of producing a breed of humanity that could better survive on the harsh desert...
