Every Hashira’s Fate At The End Of Demon Slayer, Ranked By Sadness

Demon Slayer's nine active Hashira are humanity's last line of defense against the vicious demons that rule the night. It's not an easy job, and only the best of the best can take on this prestigious mantle. As such, the only way to become a Hashira is to kill at least 50 demons or defeat one of Muzan's overpowered Demon Moons. A Hashira can also choose their successor—or Tsugoku—by carefully selecting them from the Corps' most skilled members.
In other words, they are powerful individuals capable of fighting the strongest of Muzan's demons, demonstrating their overwhelming strength in recent anime seasons. Unfortunately, many of these fan-favorite characters met brutal, untimely demises in Demon Slayer, even if they did manage to secure victory against their respective opponents.
