Who Killed Deirdre Mayfair?
Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches shocked audiences with the death of Deirdre Mayfair. In the fourth episode of the AMC series, however, came yet another surprise. As supernatural as Deirdre's death might have appeared, Lasher isn't who killed her. Instead, it seems her death was another of the show's plot twists.
While it was obvious how Deirdre Mayfair died, the circumstances of her death left many questions lingering in the audience's mind. Considering Deirdre was found alone in an elevator with her throat slit, the most prominent of these questions was who killed her? The vaguely supernatural situation had some blaming Lasher, but Season 1, Episode 4, "Curiouser and Curiouser," revealed another culprit. It's suspense like this that has endeared Mayfair Witches to AMC viewers.
