Tim Robinson's I Think You Should Leave is a Nightmare-Worthy Creation

The following contains spoilers for I Think You Should Leave Season 3, Episode 2, "I Can Do Whatever I Want," now streaming on Netflix.
For 50 seconds, there were monsters in the world of I Think You Should Leave. The "Darmine Doggy Door" sketch was one of the Netflix show's most terrifying and existential entries. Tim Robinson's sleep-deprived salesman mistook a pig in a Richard Nixon mask for a waking nightmare, and was left to grapple with the existential fallout of his momentary delusion.
"Darmine Doggy Door" instantly entered the pantheon of I Think You Should Leave's other intriguing calls to consumer action, such as "Turbo Team" and "Corncob TV," but introduced a twist. Utilizing genre tropes such as the reliable jump scare and a practical effects creature design, Robinson met audiences at the threshold of horror and comedy. He then demonstrated that the difference between the two can be as thin as a standard-issue doggy door.
