Gareth Edwards’ Role as the Director For ‘Jurassic World 4’ Hides a Much Darker Reality about the Steven Spielberg Franchise
The Jurassic Park franchise based on the cult novels by Michael Crichton, got its cinematic glory through the visionary expertise of Steven Spielberg. The first film in 1993 was a pathbreaking effort in the genre that has now reached cult status. Following a sequel in 1997, Spielberg stepped down from the director’s chair and only chose to produce the 3rd film in 2001.

The franchise was resurrected with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard with Jurassic World releasing in 2015. This gave rise to two more sequels in this series in 2018 and 2022.
