Horror Legend Retires From Acting (With One Exception)
Brad Dourif has revealed that he has effectively retired from acting. However, he remains committed to playing Chucky in the Child's Play movies and television show. Brad Dourif's commitment to Chucky is a boon for the Child's Play franchise, which has several possible continuations coming soon.
Brad Dourif has reportedly retired from acting, with one major exception. The 74-year-old actor, who received an early Oscar nomination for his role as Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, is best known for roles including Chucky in the Child's Play movies, a character he reprises in the ongoing Chucky show on USA Network and Syfy, and Gríma Wormtongue in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Along with Chucky, he has held roles in a variety of other horror projects including The Exorcist III, Critters 4, Alien: Resurrection, Urban Legend, Pulse, and 2007's Halloween.
