Jujutsu Kaisen chapter #257 reveals Sukuna had a twin who he ate in the womb who later reincarnated as Yuji's father Jin Itadori. Sukuna reveals that he and the twin shared the same soul, a revelation set up through Maki and Mai's character arcs. Kenjaku purposefully took over Kaori's body and mated with Yuji's father because he knew about Sukuna's twin's soul and to create the perfect vessel for the King of Curses.
