'We Definitely Made 4 Movies': Zack Snyder Teases Rebel Moon Director's Cut Releases

Director Zack Snyder says audiences are in for a treat when the director's cut of Rebel Moon releases. He considers the R-rated version as a parallel universe that offers a completely different viewing experience.
Zack Snyder told Entertainment Weekly that they're finished editing the director's cut of his Rebel Moon films. The director asserted those are completely different from the initial releases of A Child of Fire and The Scargiver, which premiered last week on Netflix. "Tonally, they're completely different. They're each an hour longer," he confirmed. "They're three hours each, and there are tons of scenes that aren't in the initial versions… Things happen that in the R-rated version that don't happen in the PG-13. The event order is all different, so it's really an interesting exercise." Both films will feature an extra hour of additional scenes in the director's cut, further fleshing out the plot and characters' backstories.
