The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is set to have its own Avengers-style team, and Knuckles proves it can work. Sonic producer Toby Ascher recently discussed how the Sonic the Hedgehog universe is expanding (via Paste Magazine) and will eventually lead to Avengers-level events. While it is not uncommon for movie franchises to try to follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe formula, an Avengers-style crossover featuring the Sonic characters makes perfect sense, particularly after the franchises first spinoff.
