In Detective Comics #1084, believing her adoptive father Bruce Wayne to be dead, Cassandra Cain adopts Batman's fighting style to honor him, showing that she embodies his mission more than any other member of the Bat-Family. Cassandra Cain is the only one of Bruce's many proteges who truly wants to be Batman, as she has taken to the Caped Crusader's mission in a way unlike even his most dedicated Robins from throughout the years. DC has made it clear that Cassandra Cain is Batman's one true heir in several previous stories, with Detective Comics #1084 offering the latest confirmation that she is destined to take over the role when Bruce Wayne truly hangs up his cape and cowl.
