Splice's Nature Vs. Nurture Debate: Did Dren Ever Have a Chance?

Some of Dren's violent tendencies in Splice were a result of her upbringing, with Clive treating her like an experiment. Elsa's eventual abusive tendencies and Dren's genetic aggression also contributed to Dren's violent nature. Even if raised differently, Dren's DNA and natural instincts made violent aggression inevitable.
