Winnie-the-Pooh: Prime Video to Release Four Seasons of New TV Series, Holiday Movie, and Five Specials

Winnie-the-Pooh is headed to Prime Video with a brand-new television series, a holiday movie, and five new specials. Four seasons with 104 episodes have been ordered for the animated series. The new projects will be based on the classic character created by English author A. A. Milne in the 1920s.
Disney is not connected to the new projects. The studio has produced numerous animated movies, featurettes, and TV series over the past sixty years. However, the copyright on the original version of the Winnie-the-Pooh character expired in the United States in January 2022, making it possible for other outlets to make their own Pooh projects. The copyright expires in the UK in 2027, aka the year after the 70th anniversary of Milne's death.
