Who The Others Are In Lost: Backstory & How They Got To The Island
The Others, led by Ben Linus, were a significant source of conflict for the main characters on the island. They had a history dating back to the 1950s and were followers of Jacob, the Protector of the Island. Jacob manipulated events to bring people to the island, and the Others' leaders were chosen through a process of observation and testing.
The Others have a history that greatly predates the time Losts main characters spent on the island. Not long after the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Jacks group came to discover that they werent alone. They shared the island with a group known as the Others. Led by Ben Linus, the Others provided the main source of conflict for the shows first three seasons, while also factoring heavily into several other stories as well.
Over the course of Lost's six-season run, Lost delved deep into the history of the islands many inhabitants.
