Who is Sanemi Shinazugawa in Demon Slayer?
Image
The following contains spoilers for Demon Slayer.

Over the course of four seasons, the Demon Slayer anime has introduced fans to a variety of colorful and lovable characters, from the Kamados to the charming Love Hashira to the benevolent dmeon doctor, lady Tamayo. However, some cast members are memorable not because they're lovable, but because they are intense and abrasive. At first, Genya Shinazugawa was like that, but his brother Sanemi took it to another level entirely.

Ever since his introduction late in Demon Slayer's first season, Sanemi Shinazugawa has been hostile to the Kamado siblings and even his own brother, so it's not easy for anime fans to like him or root for him in his character arc. Sanemi has a lot to answer for, but fans must at least understand why Sanemi is the way he is, and see how he fits in the bigger picture of Demon Slayer's story.
