Since “Big Little Lies,” Emmy and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman has become the undisputed queen of limited series adaptations of best-selling beach reads. Now, she’s back in the genre with “The Perfect Couple,” her first limited series for Netflix — and her first adaptation of a novel by the queen of beach reads, Elin Hilderbrand. Netflix released a teaser trailer for the six-episode limited series on Thursday, along with a link to a thematically appropriate Zola-esque wedding website.

Based on Hilderbrand’s 2018 murder mystery, “The Perfect Couple” is a story about wealth, power, and family. Here’s how Netflix describes it: “Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson) is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (Kidman), has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season — until a body turns up on the beach.
