Exclusive: Stephen Oyoung (Twisters) is the newest addition to the cast of the eighth Mission: Impossible film from Paramount Pictures and Skydance, Deadline can exclusively reveal.

Details as to the plot of the latest spy actioner in the series remain under wraps, as does Oyoung’s role. But the film follows up Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which grossed over $567Mm worldwide last summer and landed a pair of Oscar nominations for Best Sound and Visual Effects.

The Mission: Impossible films center on Cruise’s Impossible Missions Force agent Ethan Hunt, who with his team, has embarked on assorted globe-trotting missions to avert global disaster.
