Oranssi Pazuzu Announce New Album Muuntautuja, Unveil Single “Valotus”: Stream

Oranssi Pazuzu have announced a new album titled Muuntautuja, out October 11th via Nuclear Blast Records, and have released the single “Valotus.”
The Finnish avant auteurs create an open-ended swirl of black metal psychedelia on their latest track, the second single from the new album following the release of the title track a couple months ago.
The instrumentation and vocals clash in such a way as to create a stark, uncomfortable ambience — Oranssi Pazuzu’s unique talent. Multiple listens reveal different layers among the mass of sounds, which is blanketed in an industrial-like distortion. Some may hear pure noise, while others might find a brutal dance track buried underneath the fray.
“Our experimentation with samplers and electronics made us step towards the weird concept of making nightmarish Rave music,” stated guitarist Ikon via the album’s press release. “We tried to find common ground between danceable rhythms and oppressive waves of noise and distortion.
