Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to make horror-comedy version of Bat Boy for Netflix
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is a busy man, constantly involved in many different projects. Most people know him as the creator of popular TV shows Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and the Pretty Little Liars reboot series. Now, he's set to make a live-action Bat Boy series for Netflix alongside One Piece co-showrunner Joe Tracz.
Some people might know of the fictional creature Bat Boy, while others may not. The character, who is a half-bat, half-boy, appeared in the American supermarket tabloid Weekly World News in the '90s. His story would be turned later into an Off-Broadway musical, Bat Boy: The Musical, in 1997. However, it's important to mention that there won't be any connection between the musical and this new live-action series.
Aguirre-Sacasa will executive produce Bat Boy through his banner, Muckle Man Productions, and his overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. In addition, Tracz, Jimmy Gibbons, and Weekly World News...
