U.S. men’s basketball gold medal win pulls 22.7 million viewers to NBC

The U.S. men’s basketball team scored a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris on Saturday — and, in the process, helped NBC score a massive win of its own.
The match-up between Team USA and the French’s men’s national basketball team brought in 22.7 million viewers to NBC and Peacock at the peak of the game, with the average viewership falling around 19.5 million viewers — around 7 million more viewers than those who watched the highest-rated NBA Finals game on ABC this season.
