The anime and world have rarely ever seen an organization as terrifying as the Akatsuki. The group of rebel Shinobis in Naruto had a major impact on the series as they were one of the most important villains, portraying their narrative and their abilities over the course of the series. While the first two Akatsuki shown in the series were Itachi and Kisame, their original strength was reflected during the introduction of Hidan and Kakuzu.

Both Hidan and Kakuzu were members of the Akatsuki, and although they had different ideologies, they worked perfectly together. Kakuzu’s entire abilities were revealed late in Naruto, but Hidan already showed fans what he was capable of, and it was truly terrifying. He gave a glimpse of what the Akatsuki were capable of.
