Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum teases animated sequel talks
Michael Rosenbaum, who played the beloved villain Lex Luthor in Smallville, has hinted at exciting developments in the world for an upcoming animated sequel. Fans are eagerly anticipating more details as “Albie,” Rosenbaum himself, teases the progress being made behind the scenes.
At the 2024 Nashville Comicon event, Rosenbaum revealed some cool updates regarding the sequel to Smallville in animation at a panel moderated by Comicbook. He stated that “some loose animation” had been produced for a pitch at some point. Not only that, but the creators [Alfred Gough and Miles Millar] are helming the series.
Highlighting the fact that, with showbiz, it’s all to do with timing, the actor and podcaster who topped TV Guide’s 2013 list of “The 60 Nastiest Villains of All Time” and for playing the Martinex in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies had this to say during the event:
