Nexstar Media Group has hired a long-time policy advisor to serve as its newest representative in Washington, D.C.

Scott Weaver will join the company as its Senior Vice President of Government Relations in September. He joins from Wiley Rein, where he worked for more than a decade. He also served as an advisor to the presidential campaign of Florida Senator Marco Rubio from 2015 to 2016.
