Dr. Dre Is “Deadass Serious” About Trying Out for USA Archery Team at 2028 Olympics
After helping Snoop Dogg close out the Paris Olympics, Dr. Dre is already looking ahead to the next Summer Games. The hip-hop legend is hoping for the opportunity to take his shot at making the Team USA archery team for the 2028 Olympics in his hometown of Los Angeles.
“I’m trying to try out for the Olympics in 2028,” he recently told Entertainment Tonight host Nischelle Turner. “I’m really good at archery… I’m deadass serious.” Though Turner was skeptical, Dre insisted he has a long history with the sport.
The producer/rapper explained: “I actually started playing around with archery in junior high. I stopped for a while and [then] my son bought me a setup — I don’t know if it was for my birthday or Father’s Day or something like that — so I have it set up in my backyard. And I heard qualifying for the Olympics...
