Democratic National Convention Viewership Keeps Steady With 20.2 Million Viewers on Third Night

Update: For three nights in a row, the Democratic National Convention has hovered around 20 million viewers, opening with that amount on Monday before spiking up to 20.8 million on Tuesday and dipping back down to 20.2 million on Wednesday.

As the overall audience size remains about the same, Nielsen reports that viewership among those age 18-34 has shown growth, with Wednesday’s 966,000 viewers in that demographic representing a 13.5% bump from Monday’s.

Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz were among Wednesday night’s speakers.

Update: Viewership of the Democratic National Convention spiked slightly on its second night, reaching an average of 20.8 million viewers on Tuesday after Monday hit 20 million.

Like the night before, networks included in Nielsen’s measurement are ABC, CBS, NBC, Scripps News, CNN, CNNe, Fox Business, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, Newsmax, NewsNation and PBS.
