Despite eight fantastic movies that are still immensely popular today, we're soon getting a Harry Potter TV show, whether we want it or not. The TV adaptation is currently in early development at Max. In fact, HBO is currently casting actors to play iconic characters Harry, Ron and Hermione. It's getting closer, folks.
Since the announcement of HBO's 10-year commitment to making a Harry Potter TV show, the news has been met with some backlash. I mean, do we really need more Harry Potter? It feels like a safe and easy money-spinner for Max. Although it also presents a great opportunity to adapt the books on a much deeper level; there's only so much story you can tell in a movie compared to a TV show, after all.
