Lionel Richie’s 14-show tour will start with a lengthy run in Las Vegas for 13 of the shows, and conclude in Dubai for a single show.

Richie rose to popularity in the 1970s as the co-lead singer and songwriter for the Motown group The Commodores. He eventually departed the group, but not until after he wrote and recorded several hits with the band, such as “Three Times a Lady” and “Easy.”

He went solo in the 1980s, and to date has created five No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. He has achieved four Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for his song “Say You, Say Me” which won Best Original Song.
