The Avengers' Sidekicks Officially Launch Their Own Team in New Champions
After months of anticipation, the newest cohort of young Marvel superheroes are finally starring in their own series in New Champions, a team made up of original "sidekick" characters first created for the New Champions Variant Cover series. While the four main characters - Liberty, Hellrune, Cadet Marvel, and Moon Squire - have already debuted as members of Hydra's Assembly, this will be their real introduction into the Marvel Universe, operating as an independent heroic team not under the thumb of Hydra.
Some of the New Champions from the epic variant cover series have debuted in other titles, like Fantasma in Ghost Rider: Robbie Reyes Special #1 and Maystorm in Ultimate X-Men #1, but fans are incredibly excited to see the young heroes team up to, "Change The World."
