Studio Ghibli Reveals New Halloween-Friendly Merch for Its Most Underrated Movie
In July 1992, Studio Ghibli released Porco Rosso -- a nostalgic WWI-era period piece written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Recently, Ghibli's online store unveiled a set of themed decor items that not only pay tribute to Miyazaki's underrated classic, but feature a Halloween-style aesthetic that's perfect for the season.
Two of the latest additions to Donguri Sora's online catalog are the "Dappled Goby" Cushion and the "Mamma Aiuto Gang Swim Ring Pillow." The former depicts the official seaplane emblem of the "Mamma Aiuto" group -- a rowdy gang of pirates whose schemes are often thwarted by Porco Rosso's titular hero, Marco "Porco" Rossolini. As shown below, the Dappled Goby's skull motif adds a spooky flourish to an armchair or couch.
