Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Anime Film Announced
In their new 2025 lineup video narrated by Daisuke Ono (voice of Fafnir), beloved studio Kyoto Animation today announced that a Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid anime film subtitled "Samishi-gariya no Ryu" (officially translated as "A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved") will release sometime next year. A visual and a trailer were unveiled, teasing a story centered on the adorable Kanna. The visual's tagline reads, "Bye-bye, Kobayashi." Visual Related: Kyoto Animation’s Full Six-Minute Uji City Animation Posted After sweeping the anime scene in Winter 2017, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid returned for a second season in July 2021. The much-anticipated sequel was directed by Tatsuya Ishihara ( Sound! Euphonium ) at Kyoto Animation, with series composition by Yuka Yamada, character designs by Miku Kadowaki and music by Masumi Ito, Kenji Kondo and Kotringo. Ishihara returns to direct the new film.
