‘Sopranos’ Star Jamie-Lynn Sigler Opens Up About Her Son’s Near-Death Experience
On the latest episode of her MeSsy podcast, Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler opened up to listeners about her son’s recovery from a life-threatening autoimmune condition.
Sigler first revealed her son’s diagnosis on August 6 in an Instagram post in which she shared that what at first was suspected to be a “normal virus” had transitioned into “a nightmare.”
Her son, Beau, 11, was hospitalized for over a month as he suffered from a condition that causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord, labeled acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (Adem).

Sigler said that since the near-death experience, her son’s “entire personality has changed,” and she described his new disposition as that of a “euphoric grateful high.”
She said, “We’ve been home for about a month since Beau’s gotten out of the hospital.
