Marvel Comics Punisher lore was just drastically reshaped, as the final issue of Garth Ennis' Get Fury series reveals that Nick Fury was instrumental in the chain of events that led to Frank Castle's tragic origin story. It is fitting that Ennis' return to the Punisher would return with such a groundbreaking change to the character's history, though what this means for the future remains to be determined.
