Hellboy: The Crooked Man is a terrible attempt at bringing Mike Mignola’s comic book character back to the screen in the second film of an already mediocre reboot series, which began in 2019. Claimed to have been sincerely adapted from the comic book series, the new film takes us back to the 1950s, when Hellboy and his partner in the Bprd had to travel through a sinister village in Appalachia, encountering terrible monsters and horrific demons on their way. The Crooked Man is generally very boring and forgettable as a film and can be easily avoided by any casual viewer without a serious soft spot for the character or the comic series.
