Star Wars Sets Up Captain Rex's Return In The Mandalorian Era & Potential Ahsoka Team-Up
Star Wars has set up a possible return for fan-favorite clone trooper Captain Rex in the Mandalorian era, which could see him reunite with Jedi Ahsoka Tano. Rex and Ahsoka really are one of Star Wars' best duos. After fighting side-by-side during Star Wars: The Clone Wars, they reunited in Star Wars Rebels. Ahsoka has since returned to the Star Wars timeline in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka, but Rex hasn't. Audiences are eager to see Rex and Ahsoka connect once more, and Star Wars just dropped a major hint that reunion may be coming.
In the brand-new canon Star Wars book, Star Wars: The Secrets of the Clone Troopers, written by Marc Sumerak, Captain Rex muses on his future in the wake of the fall of the Empire. The text states:
