Anne Hathaway Apologizes to Reporter After Their Cringey 2012 Interview Resurfaced: ‘She Sent a Long Email Explaining’ Her Behavior During ‘Awful’ Chat
Anne Hathaway sent an apology to a journalist after a cringeworthy 2012 interview they did together resurfaced online. Norwegian entertainment journalist Kjersti Flaa posted a video from the “Les Miserables” press junket in which Hathaway was curt in some of her answers and shot down Flaa’s pitch to sing one of the questions and answers with her. Hathaway’s co-stars, Hugh Jackman and Eddie Redmayne, agreed to Flaa’s singing request, but Hathaway said: “Well, I won’t be doing that, but you’re more than welcome to sing.”
It appears Hathaway caught wind of the resurfaced interview, as Flaa posted an updated video a few days later and revealed the Oscar winner had reached out to her through her representative to offer an apology for the cringeworthy chat. Variety confirmed with Hathaway’s rep that the actor officially responded to Flaa.
