Chicago – One of the greatest superhero movies of all time is about to get the “Super Emx” treatment. “Superman II” will be presented on the largest screen in Illinois, at the Emagine Batavia on October 11th, 2024, and will feature a two day event with Sarah Douglas, who portrayed Phantom Zone villain Ursa. “Superman” (1978) and “Superman II” (1980) were filmed simultaneously by director Richard Donner. British actor Sarah Douglas portrayed the icy Kryptonian Ursa, a villain who was banished in the first Superman film to the “Phantom Zone” in space, imprisoning her and two colleagues (Terrance Stamp as General Zod and Jack O’Halloran as the mute Non). In “Superman II,” the detainees break free of the Zone and wreak havoc on earth, the new home planet of Superman (Christopher Reeve).
