Ready or Not 2 is a go. The original 2019 movie, made by Radio Silence (which includes directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett as well as executive producer Chad Villella), followed a young bride (Samara Weaving) playing a deadly game of hide and seek with her new groom's family, who have made a deal with the sinister Le Bail in exchange for their great wealth. Though the sequel Ready or Not 2 wasn't immediately greenlit, it was both a critical and commercial success, earning a Certified Fresh score of 89% and grossing $57.6 million worldwide against its $6 million budget.

Deadline has revealed that Ready or Not 2 is now officially in development. Radio Silence made the announcement that they would be making the sequel at a screening of the original movie late Saturday night. Although the production timeline and release date were not revealed by the filmmaking collective, they confirmed that original star Samara Weaving is also set to return.
