Despite what series creator Chuck Lorre may have planned, The Big Bang Theory star and Young Sheldon producer Jim Parsons can’t find a reason to return to the franchise. Lorre, however, can find millions.

Back in May, Lorre’s second TV show based around child-prodigy-turned-theoretical-physicist Dr. Sheldon Cooper wrapped up its seventh season in the Young Sheldon series finale. The final episode merged the worlds of Lorre’s original multi-camera smash-hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory with his slower, more emotional coming-of-age comedy/drama in a bittersweet finale that saw Parsons appear as Old Sheldon one last time, a moment that hit close to home for both fans of the franchise and the performers themselves.
