‘The View’ Cancels Halloween Episode Amid Election: “It’s Too Important”
With the 2024 presidential election less than a month away, the women of The View have little else on their minds.
On Tuesday’s episode of the ABC roundtable show’s Behind the Table podcast, producer Brian Teta revealed to co-host Joy Behar that they will not have a Halloween episode for the first time in 28 years.
“I’m going to announce something today that’s going to upset a portion of the audience, but I think it’s going to make you happy,” he told Behar. “This year, because it’s only a few days before the election and we need to be live, the hosts are not going to dress up for Halloween.”
He explained of the tradition, “They’re iconic, it’s great, I’ll try to bring it back next year. The problem is, those shows are a huge undertaking, we have to do them on tape.
