Matthew Lillard Still Believes His ‘Scream’ Character Stu Macher Is “Definitely Alive”

Matthew Lillard has been extremely busy this Halloween season, launching his own horror-themed tequila, hosting Blumhouse’s baking competition series “Killer Cakes,” and preparing for his return in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. He also made time last week to make an appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show, where he talked about a potential return to the Scream saga.
Lillard has made it no secret in recent years that he believes his original Scream character Stu Macher is potentially still alive, and he doubled down on his recent “Drew” appearance.
Stu Macher, you may recall, was stabbed multiple times before having a TV set dropped on his head. Injuries that one could conceivably survive, it’s at least worth pointing out.
What does the actor behind the character feel about all those rumors?
“Stu is definitely alive, right? My character Stu is definitely alive,” Lillard responded when asked the big question.
