Terrifier 3 Box Office Surpasses Blumhouse Film To Climb 2024's Highest-Grossing Horror Movie Chart

Damien Leone's splatter-soaked gore-fest Terrifier 3 has surpassed a Blumhouse movie at the domestic box office. The Terrifier franchise debuted in 2016, as a successful independent slasher, and its sequel Terrifier 2 received critical and commercial success, grossing $15.7 million against a budget of $250,000, becoming a sleeper-hit. The off-beat ultra-violent third installment of Art the Clown's murderous rampage across Miles County hit theaters in the United States on October 11, and Terrifier 3 has already $43.8 million at the time of writing, against a production budget of just $2 million.
Per Collider, Terrifier 3's domestic gross has risen to a hugely impressive $37 million, surpassing Blumhouse's James McAvoy vehicle Speak No Evil, which took in $36 million domestically. This puts Terrifier 3 as the fourth-highest grossing horror movie of 2024 in North America, behind Longlegs with $74 million, Alien Romulus with $105 million, and A Quiet Place: Day One with $138 million.
