The scary element of Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 is certainly much higher than its predecessor. It seems like Remedy has focused a lot on providing fans with a proper spine-chilling experience, in fact, the studio added a small creepy detail that many fans may not have even noticed.

In the game, the areas where players are not looking often change, particularly during jumpscares. Initially, many players new to horror games thought this was a bug, but it is a deliberate addition to give players a proper psychological horror experience. One of the game’s directors recently talked about this small gameplay element, also admitting that the studio might have “overdid” a bit in terms of its jump scares.
