A24 has unveiled the first official trailer for Queer, the second film from Italian director Luca Guadagnino out this year (he also opened Challengers in spring). Queer, adapted from the William S. Burroughs' novel, originally premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival (here's my review) with stops at the Toronto, Zurich, London, and New York Film Festivals as well. Set in the 1950s - Daniel Craig stars as drifter Lee, who recounts his life in Mexico City among American expatriate college students and bar owners surviving on part-time jobs and G.I. Bill benefits. He is driven to pursue a young man named Allerton, based on Adelbert Lewis Marker.
