For those unable to attend those dates, the L.A. livestream is an ideal way to experience Beat from the comfort of your own abode. The group features classic King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin alongside guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey. Taking their name from the seminal 1982 King Crimson album, Beat revisit the progressive rock band’s output during that decade, specifically 1981’s Discipline, the aforementioned Beat, and 1983’s Three of a Perfect Pair.
“The 1981 through 1984 King Crimson created a music all its own,” commented Levin in the initial tour announcement.
